In a unsettling week ahead the Vorkula TT in Russia, Colonels Bucket rider Etienne Olemans grabs 3rd place in a extremely tough field dominated by a strong Dodge team. The lip tight Belgian has been turning out some impressive times in training as well as playing a valuable supporting role to the team leaders since his arrival just over a month ago.
Team manager Cecil Blazon was quick to point out that "Etienne is a real workhorse, man keeps his head down and his mouth shut...He talks through cadence" and this great result came from a clear tactical decision. "We knew both our main threats Udo [Greve] and Mario [Suarez] where a little out of shape, so we told Etienne to go at it...It's job done, no?".
After the race, Etienne was beaming having just achieved his first podium position behind the Australian team Dodge's Ian Defley and Roland Rosinski, who he was quick to point out as special riders "these guys are serious contenders, so to stay in contention with them shows my training is really paying off now" adding "Cecil and the whole teams support really gave me a huge boost at the pre-race meeting...Champers fellas?!"
So, as the team grabs another top spot and yet more OCM points we all hope this bubble don't burst anytime soon!

Anyway, I guess Etienne had nothing to lose by going all out, hence the result. I'm guessing we'll be seeing each other in the hilly or mountainous TTs in time again?
Yeah very close indeed!
Well it was pretty close if you read the race review :P
